GIL FORMATS’ ‘ON THE OTHER HAND’ AND ‘STREET JURY’ TRAVEL TO SPAIN
Gil Formats lands two new deals for its original formats in Spain: ‘On The Other Hand’ was taken by DLO/Magnolia (Banijay Group), while ‘Street Jury’ was sold to Verte, the production company owned by Spanish media giant, Atresmedia.
‘On the Other Hand’ is a Comedy Panel Format that for the first time on TV confronts two teams of comedians from both sides of the political map – a full blown competition between right and left on the burning political issues of the moment.
2 seasons already aired on Israeli public channel, KAN, and the 3rd season is currently on air.
‘Street Jury’, co-created with Studio Glam, is a comic feel good relationship format about real people solving real but simple and lighthearted conflicts by taking their case to the street – to judges and jury of their peers.
Each episode features a couple who have a dispute, which they can’t resolve on their own. 25 randomly picked people passing by, are then given a chance to review the case, question the participants and make a decision.
All participants agree that the majority verdict is final and binding.
