GIL FORMATS SET TO LAUNCH ‘PRANK STAR’ AT MIPTV 2017

Gil Formats, the Tel Aviv based content creator and distributor, is set to launch ‘Prank Star’ at MIPTV.   The series was created by Gil Formats and will air for the first time on Mediaset’s Italia 1, in a primetime slot in March 2017.

‘Prank Star’ is a big primetime, studio entertainment show, searching for the country’s best prankster.   Nationwide auditions find the country’s funniest people who think they have what it takes to be the nation’s Prank Star.

Once through the audition process, the contestants are given by the show, specific pranks, hidden camera challenges and comedy scenarios, which they must then pull off.  They will need to use every ounce of bravado, balls and boldness they have, to wow our judges – a panel of experts in studio, who will critique every part of their performance. Can they rise to the challenge?  Or will they crash and burn?

The best pranksters go through to the Grande Finale, where they try to pull off the most daring prank on the biggest scale they have ever attempted.
