GIL FORMATS’ ‘ON THE EDGE’ TRAVELS TO FINLAND

Gil Formats has secured a new deal with Rabbit Films in Finland for its format ‘On The Edge’. Local adaptation of the format premiered on Planete, Canal+ Group, in France earlier this month, and due to launch on TV5 Canada this coming December.

In this new and original factual entertainment format, celebrities with no previous experience take on a life-risking challenge that involves extreme physical conditions beyond the limits of the human body: swimming in ice water beyond the point of hypothermia, crossing the desert facing fatal dehydration and diving 25 meters under water to the point of severe apnea, to name a few.

During the 100 days before the challenge they will go through a series of physical and mental training and will be guided by some of the most renowned experts, to help them do the impossible. We follow the celebrity’s training and monitor their physiological reactions as they overcome endless physical, emotional and mental low points on the way to the ultimate challenge.
