When Assaf Gil started exploring co-parenting a couple of years back, format creation wasn’t top of his mind.

Indeed, it took a dinner in Cannes with Michael Yudin and David Auerbach from US prodco MY Entertainment (MYE) for Gil to realise that his personal experiences could potentially make quite a splash on screen too.

The result was Pregnant & Platonic, a format that reflects an array of wider trends going on in today’s format business, as Gil explains.
