4 MAJOR TERRITORIES TAKE ON GIL FORMATS’ NEWEST FORMAT, ‘PREGNANT & PLATONIC’

Gil Formats’ factual entertainment format, ‘Pregnant & Platonic’, has landed four deals with production companies in key territories across Europe: Finestripe Productions in the UK, Endemol Shine Germany, This Is Nice Group in Sweden and Bulldog TV in Spain, following the format’s very recent launch during MIPCOM 2016.

The format, co-developed by Gil Formats with US based production company MY Entertainment, centers on women and men who are looking to have a child without getting romantically involved, thru the process of co-parenting.

Each participant will meet potential partners that have been hand-selected for them by a team of experts. Once they choose a partner to have a child with, the series will follow the couples over the course of a year as they face numerous challenges and difficult decisions before they can turn their dreams of becoming parents into a reality.

Each story will hopefully climax with a baby being born.

The format is inspired by the personal experience of Gil Formats’ CEO, Assaf Gil, who had his first child in 2016 with a co-parent.
